What to know
- The tool finds the element that repeats most often, such as each book in a catalog, and makes one row per record.
- Attributes become columns that start with @, for example @id.
- Nested elements become dotted column names such as address.city.

You will see an error message. The most common causes are an unclosed tag or a bare & character, which must be written as & in XML.
